The Strateo Audit

Six weeks to understand how your organisation really works, put a number on where the time goes, and walk away with a roadmap and tools already running.

The presenting symptom: “I want a clear picture of the whole organisation.”

The Strateo Audit, in French2 min 25

Our most complete solution, never a required first step. Six weeks on the calendar for around twenty days of work, from head office to the field. The actual duration depends on how many sites you run and when your teams are free: it shortens when the interviews can be grouped. The price follows the same logic: it is set at scoping, based on the size of the organisation, and the quote you receive before we start does not move. At the handover you receive the map of your processes, the time actually consumed, counted role by role, the true state of your data, a prioritised roadmap, the meta-studies scoped at launch and the mocked-up tools, demonstrated live. Everything is handed over the same day.

4tools mocked up at most, demonstrated live
3meta-studies at most, scoped at launch
Firmthe quote you get before we start, no surprises

Mocked up, not delivered to production: a mocked-up tool works and can be demonstrated, it is not yet connected to your systems or maintained. That is what separates the audit from the custom-built tool sold on its own. The one caveat, stated up front: a travel cap, set at scoping.

How it unfolds.

Week 1, the scoping

Kick-off meeting, choice of interviewees, document collection. The meta-study question is on the table from day one.

Weeks 2 and 3, the field

The interviews, from head office to the field. Full transcription, processed locally. Site visits when there is more than one.

Weeks 3 and 4, the analysis

Processes mapped, time counted. The meta-studies run in parallel.

Weeks 4 and 5, the build

The first tools, shown along the way rather than at the end.

Week 6, the handover

Half a day. Tools demonstrated live, deliverables handed over, roadmap prioritised.

What the audit covers

The whole organisation, as it actually works.

  • The end-to-end map of your processes, head office and field
  • Time counted by function and by task
  • The state of your systems: what exists, what is used, what is paid for and sits idle
  • The true state of your data, see the module below
  • Steering: which indicators exist, when they arrive, who looks at them
  • The market and your competitors, with up to three meta-studies
  • Practice gaps between sites, for multi-site networks
  • How AI is really used today, including the tools your teams use without saying so
  • The quick wins and the roadmap, prioritised by impact and effort

The “true state of your data” module

It answers a question nobody asks before spending: is the raw material usable? In most mid-sized companies it is not, and that is the leading cause of failed AI projects. You build on sand, then blame the tool. Eight points are examined: where the information lives, how many times the same data is re-keyed, whether the sources agree with each other, whether the same thing carries the same name everywhere, whether it is complete, whether history is kept, whether you have the right to use it, and whether you can get it out.

  • The deliverable: a map of your sources, and a three-state verdict for every use you are considering
  • Ready. Needs preparing, with a costed lead time. Or unusable as it stands
  • The verdict lands before the spend, never after

What you walk away with.

  • The audit report. around thirty pages, every finding sourced
  • The process map. the organisation as it really works
  • The data map. with its verdict: ready, needs preparing, unusable
  • The prioritised roadmap. ranked by impact and effort, quick wins set apart
  • The mocked-up tools. demonstrated live, handed over on the day
  • The decision matrices. weighted grids you rerun on your own
  • The meta-studies. up to three, scoped to the mission
  • The AI usage charter. the inventory of real usage, and the rules

The fact sheet.

That is the whole point of the audit: it stands on its own. Everything is actionable the next morning. With us or without us.

The questions we get asked about this solution.

No. The audit is the most complete thing we do, not a required first step. If you already know what you are missing, we go straight there, and it is often faster and cheaper.

Within the audit the tools are mock-ups: working and demonstrable, not yet connected or maintained. That is what makes it possible to build up to four of them in six weeks. Putting them into production is a separate project, run if you decide to.

Nothing automatic, and nothing required. The audit stands on its own, everything is actionable the next morning. If you want the projects to move, that is what hands-on support is for.

Six weeks, around twenty days of work, interviews included.

What can follow.

The audit stands on its own: the roadmap is prioritised, the matrices can be rerun without us, the mocked-up tools are yours. You can run everything internally, and many clients do. If you would rather not do it alone, hands-on support takes the projects in roadmap order, and stops whenever you decide.
